LOGO DESIGN
Comic Foundry has a great new feature on how much work goes into making the perfect logo. And, it got me into full-on logo mode. I made something that'll work for the web page, but I REALLY need to get a logo going.
I checked around and I contacted two of my favorites (in no particular order). Here's what they wrote back:
1. Lithium Pro:
2. Blambot:
"Logo design starts at $400.00 USD each and goes up depending on specifics.(projected time for research, illustration if any, etc.) The terms are 50% down payment, under signed Blambot project agreement. Turnaround is three to four weeks, per logo. We accept payment domestically by check, money order or PayPal. For orders outside the USA we accept international money order or PayPal. For the process involved visit our http://www.comiclettering.com website. If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to ask."
That give's me a pretty good idea on how to budget for the logo. Blambot is (in my opinion) probably the best at what he (Nate Piekos) does, and I'd love to have my logo designed by him. I still might. But, I could put $350 into getting some pages inked or lettered - and get a pretty nice logo by Lithium Pro.
I think I'll send Lithium Pro my logo info and see what happens from there.
